Sisters Song: Awaken / Chroma: Red for Elevate
ELEVATE celebrates photography with an exhibition exploring, from a womanist perspective, the impact that migration development and gentrification has had on the city’s inhabitants old and new. The exhibition will feature a varied host of Atlanta-based women photographers including members of the photography collective Sistagraphy and Chroma, a queer-Black-woman-healer led group that blends art with ancestral healing. The hopes, fears, tensions, and collaborations that grow out of the changing racial and cultural narratives of contemporary Atlanta will be the nexus of the presentation. [Facebook RSVP event page]
